I like to read Italian Web pages with two browser windows open. I have a small window opened to the AltaVista Translation page, and I have a normal sized window opened to the page I am reading.

Whenever I get stumped, I type the word or phrase into the AltaVista form. The translation is frequently flawed, that is you shouldn't throw out your dictionary, but often it gives you just enough of a hint to keep it rolling. You can also type the page address (URL) into the AltaVista form and it will translate the whole page.

Another nice resource for conjugation is the Logos Verba Universal Conjugator. As far as I have been able to ascertain, it handles all of the irregular verbs perfectly.
